as you were lying on my shoulder, thinking about things i don’t know or heard of, i try to remember the last time i had such a feeling, so intense yet so comforting
the scent of your skin mixing up with the smell of cigarettes inside the room, creating a journey on their own up to my nose
fresh flowers arranged on the kitchen table
every door is open all the way, as if we are afraid to see something so tight like the embrace you have on me as if they are competing
this hold you have on me, jolting every one of my bones
as you are singing quietly to the song on the background, we are rocking back and forth slightly, so subtle that i think we are not moving
the broken joy in your voice covering up the whole space like it has its own mass
and i drive my attention to the slim of your fingers, closing the distance between our bodies as if there is any
and start to sing along to our favorite song with you
carelessly.
